CLAREMORE, Okla. — Bison Challenge Coins will be honoring World War II veterans in Claremore in September.
On Sept. 2,the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, Bison Challenge Coins and Claremore Veterans Home will be holding a celebration for veterans at the Claremore Veteran Center.
Each World War II veteran in attendance will receive a special challenge coin designed by Bison Challenge Coins and a patriotic bald eagle print that will be presented by Mohawk Post 308 Auxiliary Member Donna Lee.
Afterwards, lunch will be provided for the veterans and their families.
Bison Challenge Coins wants to have as many veterans in attendance as possible and are working on spreading the word about the event.
If possible, it's asked that any available World War II veterans wanting to attend RSVP by July 15.
This will ensure enough coins and prints are available for each veteran.
